Copyright and DMCA

How to report a copyright concern about content on our site.

Last updated:

We respect the rights of copyright owners. If you believe content available through this site infringes your copyright, send us a notice so we can review it.

Send a copyright notice

Email us and include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature as the copyright owner or someone authorized to act for the owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • The URL of the material you want us to review, with enough detail for us to locate it.
  • Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address so we can contact you.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, the owner’s agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

What happens next

We review notices and may remove or disable access to material when appropriate. We may contact the person responsible for the material and ask for more information if a notice is incomplete.

If your content was removed

If you believe material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, email us a counter-notice that includes:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the removed material and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  • Your name, mailing address, and phone number.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court for your address, or, if you are outside the United States, for a district where we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.

We will review the counter-notice and follow any process required by applicable law. Do not send a counter-notice if you are unsure that the removal was a mistake.

Repeat infringement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright, when appropriate.
